Director of Education
Cheryl McBride Brown PhD.
Dr. Cheryl McBride Brown seeks to be known as a servant of God. Her love of God and desire to
bring Him glory have propelled this woman’s journey of success with the Lord. No single accomplishment or success truly reflects the worth of an individual. The measure of a person is the adherence to life-long principles. A look at Bishop Brown’s life reveals a deliberate striving to adhere to the principles instilled by her parents while growing up in her native city of New Orleans: serve God, love His people, and become a person of integrity.
The milestones are many on Bishop’s pathway to success. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marquette University, a Masters of Education in Religious studies from Cardinal Stritch University and a Doctorate in Education from Capella University. As Founder and President of Believers In Christ Ministries, Inc., she is the catalyst and overseer of a variety of ministry programs. Ongoing works include prison ministry, local and national and international evangelism, youth ministry and K-12 education. She has established the Kids Are Smart Child Development Center, Christian Academy and High School of Excellence. Her success in producing quality schools has received national attention as a prototype for innovative and effective education. In addition to all of the above, she has organized Intelligence Inc., an educational consulting firm.
Cheryl McBride Brown has served in many capacities within the Full Gospel Baptist Church fellowship. She has been General Overseer, First Assistant to Bishop Jerome Ross in the Pastors’ Division and was consecrated to the Office of Bishop, one of the first women clergy to have been bestowed such an honor and responsibility.
Bishop Brown has received numerous citations and awards for her untiring efforts to better the quality of life in her community. She sits on several policy-making boards and is valued for her wise counsel and strength of character. Her love of God drives her to help others know, love and serve Him. Everyone is
special and can succeed. Someone has to show them. Bishop Cheryl McBride Brown believes that she is that someone.
